Question about Mounts

OK, I've done the Lost wish Undead mount (Ley) as well as the Prosper Undead mount (Veldt). I am in the process of doing the Luminari Undead mount (Pela).

What is the difference between these mounts and the higher level (Vesayan and Oriad) Undead mount quest mounts? Are the higher level mounts faster? provide Armour?
