The risk vs return for damage spect vs Resistence spect are seriously off...

I've been fighting a ton of resist spect people lately mages and melee's mostly and an archer here and there. My Mage is damage spect with 29 damage rating with CB wands and like 13 or 14 crit damage. Correct me if I'm wrong but by going resist spect you should essentially be sacrificing damage in order to be able to get hit less no? If this is the case then why does almost every person I fight that's resist spect hit about the same as me? The melee's especially just wreck me while I hit them for crap. They can literally be invincible if they wish to chug and kit after every hit til they get a lucky string of crits and I die. I'll take a fight I just had and use it as a learning example.

Scenario: I'm a damage spect mage fully lumed out where it matters in my damages and resists, full legendary wards, legendary impen under clothing with my extremities around 750 and the rest of my armor in ther 1020's-1030's, using a weeping.

Vs a DW heavy weap legendary bt daggers pretty and much as lumed out as I and resist spect and from what he told me he did not have magic d spect. (Dunno if that was true or not)

In this SS the spread is 10 seconds as we were @ full health when he initially charged in for his first attack. As I got the first hit in for 160 or so any pk will go for the second war hoping to land and streak to kill. How can I do such little damage to a 500 health melee when I'm damage spect while he does retarded damage by tanking me with ease. What's wrong with the picture...

Point I was making before I got sidetracked is that being damage spect vs resist spect is off. I may as well go resist spect now and still hit about the same as I do now while getting hit for less.
