Cannot active my account

So I've been having the 'Authentication failed, please try again later.' problem for the past couple of days. I resolved this several times by changing my password until last night.

The problem still persist, but now with the caviat of it not being fixed changing my account password. I also noticed that, even though my subscription went through to my bank account, it says that my account is inactive regardless of whether or not I update my payment method. I initially paid with paypal, so I'm not sure if there is a problem with that. I also noticed that I can't change the nickname of my AC subscription (which is currently dubbed 'CRIPPLING COCAINE ADDICTION').

EDIT: for whatever reason, my account works now. I'm not sure what happened or if it resolved itself.
