Contrary to belief there is a handful of end game content. Many of the repeatable quests are worthwhile even at 80+. There is a daily solo quest for desolation along with a group quest. Even low end quests like Gurogs, Gaunt, BF are worthwhile due to their time vs reward ratio.
The group mobs continue up to 92-95 providing months of leveling for those who choose to do so. For those that are not into the grind the crafting & gathering system takes an extensive amount of time.
One of the greatest features of AC1 was the ability to develop your character as far as you wanted to go. Originally when the level cap was 126 it took many months/years to reach it and that only limited the skill points. Your character would continue to level years after and progress by allocating points to skills & stats.
AC2 currently lacks that aspect. While the quests & group mobs continue up to around 100 the solo hunting ends around 85. It's only a few months into the re-release and McFly is already 84. There are other players hitting 80+ also. The butchering is limited to +4 levels as well as focus limiting what can be done.
New graphics/models do not need to be created. It would be sufficient to introduce higher level mobs revamping versions of older mobs. The iconic shreth etc would do just fine.
