Long story short, when the organization I am working for moved to a new city in Kenya the new government officials overseeing us decided they didn't like how our visa and work permit paperwork was filled out (the organization had been operating in the country just fine for the last 20 years). They revoked both our visas and work permits and several of us had to leave the country.
So, I am back in the US at the moment and for the foreseeable future. We are trying to reapply for the paperwork but that could take 6-8 months or longer and it isn't guaranteed that it will be accepted anyway. The organization is trying to figure out what to do with those of us that got sent home. We may be attending some training seminars and events while wait for the paperwork, transferred to another one of the organizations operations (they also fly in parts of West Africa, Alaska, South America, and some Pacific Islands), or let go.
Since I sill have active subscriptions through December I might as well play while I am stuck here and my schedule permits it. I should be back in game some time this week.
