So, on FF, I have been trying to do the Hive Queen quest for a good week. Every time I went to check the rings, they were always down and the olthoi inside the dungeon would not spray you. The first few times I checked and the rings were down, I just thought I was getting (increasingly) unlucky. Finally, after the 4th day or so, I started to think the quest was just bugged and starting asking in /cg if anyone had been doing the quest/seen people doing it. No one had.
Finally today, someone had a thought. What if someone had dropped the bells, instead of forks, and never actually completed the original ML Olthoi Queen quest. Certainly, that couldn't have be the answer, right? Dropping the bells must time out at some point and allow the rings to respawn? Nope. After making someone go with me to the original queen dungeon, turns out that is what happened. We were able to get sprayed and killed the old queen. I then checked on the Menhir Rings and they had indeed respawned.
Please make it so that this doesn't happen. If the two queen quests are going to share the Menhir Rings as the method for triggering the spraying, put some kind of timer on it so the rings will respawn after the bells have been dropped for so long.
