I'd like to be able to get "blank" portal gems. These gems could interact with portals similar to the way the focus stone interacts with the vortex to activate it. The portal gem would be imprinted with the portal for use at a future time. An other idea would be a type of imprint portal spell that would imprint the gem with the tied portal specifics. Perhaps there could be single-use gems that could be traded and permanent gems that would be attuned.
