We Just "Attempted" Hoshino Must Die - Insane Final Room!

We just attempted Hoshino Must Die. These are my thought on that quest and a request for discussion and answers (if at all available) as to possible avenues of completion. I will be updating the wiki with my findings and screenshots.

Two full Fellows.
Dedicated Healers
Dedicated Debuffers
12+ summoners
Legendary Suits - All 10 Tink
Several with Defender/Dex/Adept suits
One (me) popping rares at end so I can take screenshots and document things on wiki.
Rare key run (3 x parts from towns) to speed things up, works wonders, takes 10 minutes. After doing part 1, the wards.

Getting to the final room, where you eventually fight hoshino, takes not much longer then about an hour, hour and half max, that’s including the wards (part 1).

When you get to the final room, and start the fight, you will encounter endless spawns of spectral creatures, about a 15 second spawn rate of roughly 30 odd critters in room at any given time, while you attempt to destroy 3 pillars at opposite corners of a room about 2x2 radars big.

Once pillars are killed they turn into npcs which you must keep alive for 5 minutes at which point hoshino becomes vulnerable to attack. 3 pillars, 3 npcs, endless spawn of critters trying to kill said npcs yada yada. If an npc dies a pillar takes its place, rinse and repeat process.

You cannot use summons as they attack npcs. No perches or hidey holes, which would detract you from the intended goal anyway.

For every 5-10 critters you kill, another 5-10 spawn. The pillars are more then a radar apart. The spawn is endless and leave no gaps for regrouping/healing, scratching heads etc.

We ran it twice in a row. First run was a test run to figure out levers/buttons etc. We tried the centre of the room as per wiki and got fried in less then 5 minutes by all the agro in room. Blood/Void Mages galore.

Second run was better (20 minute killing spree) but we couldn’t keep up with the spawn rate, it is absolutely insane. This is definitely not a one fellow quest as per the intended suggestion of hoshino only dropping 9 tokens per kill. You could take 4 fellows and repeat the kill 4 times, but that is not in the spirit of this quest., and furthermore, you would lose half the player base in the process.

I am looking to the community for clues, suggestions and ideas as to how we can tackle this quest. Getting to the final room is now cake, finishing it is another story.

I am also looking for a virtual show of hands from Solclaim players that would…1. Like to be flagged for this quest (I will personally take people)…and 2. Run Hoshino dry, until we can safely say that we conquered the quest.

My long term goal is to be able to run it with only one fellowship. Not sure that’s even possible at this stage. This quest should not be discounted simply because its too hard.
