I asked how enlightenment would affect society rank and this was your answer. When I hit 180, my society still showed ??? Couldn't enter the Stronghold and had to speak to the NPC and get the Corrupted Mana Shard. After turning it in my rank reset to Initiate. So mad. Hated doing this through the first time and I'm looking forward to it even less now.

When you do enlightenment you can no longer access your society tasks or content, but when you hit the minimum level for society content (150 I believe) your rank will once again be recognized. You won't have to work up your rank again unless you change societies.
