I have had a love and hate relationship with this game over the last 15 years. I started in very early 2000 or 2001 (i cant rem). I have had who knows how many accounts over the years and i never thought i could get back the one that started it all.
I am once again back in possession of, what i believe - hopefully if all went right and they got the right account - is the original account that started it all for me.
There have been many games since i have left this game time and time again yet not one single one has drawn me back like Asherons Call. Wow sucked. DaoC was ok. Elder Scrolls Online is just a bloody bug infested hate-fest.
There have been dreams involving this island. Girl friends have commented that i made arrow launching motions complete with matching sound effect in the night while i battle imaginary foes in my sleep. My wife mentioned that i made sword swings in my sleep with swooshing sounds.
No other game has had a grip on me over the years like this one. What the heck did you people do to us? :)
And once again i am playing it. I started playing this game when i was using Windows 98. Then i moved on the Windows 98SE. Then i played using Windows XP and now with Windows 7. This game has lived longer than most of MSs' OS's.
To speed things up i downloaded the up to date .dat and .cell data. 14 Mb to go.....
