I did a quick search for "seasonal" and while it has been discussed much, I dont know if we ever got a final answer.
We know the game isn't being patched anymore and isn't likely to be patched often or at all anytime between now and doomsday.
The questions that were asked were generally along the lines of:
1. Is it possible to turn on seasonal content and leave it on until the servers shut down.
2. Is it possible to activate multiple seasonal quests/NPC's simultaneously and then leave them on?
3. Is activating any or all seasonal content a matter of a switch/comment in the code(in other words something easily done with a quick patch/reboot) or entire separate sections of code that would need to be implemented/patched back in. Very seldom are these things as easy as cut and paste but sometimes...which brings me to a related question:
4. Will players have access to and be able to activate and deactivate seasonal content if and when Private Servers go live?
I apologize if any of these questions are technically wrong or confusing, I'm a Network guy, not a programmer.
