What:

Make Weeping/Blighted Wands ignore Magic Absorbing (aegis) effects.




Why:

In my opinion, one of the problems with PvP in its current state is that Melees are capable of dealing too much damage in proportion to their survivability. I believe that the solution is NOT to nerf Melees' damage output, but to nerf their survivability.

Giving Weeping/Blighted Wands the ability to ignore Aegis effects would, potentially, balance the Melee vs. Mage situation without affecting PvM, group fighting, or odds fighting. It would keep PvP instances exciting and skill-oriented (as much so as possible with the current state of the game in terms of Gear and Luminance), and would promote "fun" fighting involving risks and thrill, as opposed to the comparatively dry and uninteresting fighting that seems to have been occurring as of late.





I made a poll on the Postcount forums...There seems to be a decent amount of support from the PKing community.

Devs: Is something such as this a potential consideration? Or is it not an option at this point?
