I wanted to give AC1 a try because I came back to play AC2 for a while. I have tried almost everything and can not get past the Update Progress. When I launch it says I connected and then the update progress bar does not advance and then it says I could not connect.

I have done all the port forwarding, DMZ stuff, as well as altering that preferences.ini file, run as administrator. I installed direct x 9.0c and made sure AC was installed under Games and not program files. I also disconnected my router and plugged in directly to my apartment complexes ethernet.
My apartment does have a strange network where we have an account with korcett. It's not like your typical home modem. Is my apartment's network causing the issue. I really wanted to try AC.
