I re-upped back in April to check out all the changes since my last stay in Dereth back in 2010. Lots to learn, but the basics are all still there. I decided that my old server, WE, is too empty to continue playing, so I popped into FF and found myself a very generous patron. I've had a lot of fun re-learning the game, and feel like I'm starting to have characters than can actually do things again.
However, while my patron is great, my guild seems very quiet. We're under Zuizide and guild chat is slow. Maybe these folks are more active in different time zones are something. Really, what I'm looking for in a guild is an active group that does weekly quests and has a shared calendar for such events. I'm a busy guy, so when I'm on - I want to play with a goal! Voice Chat much preferred whether it's Skype, Ventrilo, or Teamspeak. I have a lot of knowledge of older content, but doing it all myself is difficult, and the newer things like Aetheria, Summoning, and tier8 hunting areas are still weird to me. It's been rough not having my high level alchemy/tinker mule to supply myself with updated weapons as I level.
