Aura of the Craftsman - skill increase not displayed?

I just spent 1 million luminance on 5x Aura of the Craftsman...my specialized Weapon Tinkering did not increment. Is this one of those "stealth" augs? :)

Low level content balance

Just a quick question, is low level content balanced around having level 7 buffs?

I made a toon the other day and for the heck of it I decided to play a little old school, no buffs, just using the pathwarden armor and whatever I found. I went to do the Dagger of Tikola quest and wow do those wars hit hard. Two shots and my guy with 10 End base is toast. I put as much xp as I could spare into health but that only got me so far. Seems near impossible to tackle the casters without buffs.

I noticed when I came back that one of candeth keep vendors stocks platemail. This is my favorite armor style and I was curious if I could use this armor for tailoring.

Hi there, it's good to have logged in a couple times and talked to some familiar characters.

Unfortunately it seems difficult to log in reliably.

Today I logged in second try into the world, but following a relog onto another character I am stuck at the black screen before the inventory and stats load.

I have my router's virtual server set up for ports 9000 - 9013 UDP, and on my LAN I have ports allowed 9000, 9001, 9002, 9003 UDP.

I've used User Preferences to specific port 9001, and also True on IP.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to reliably or any tricks they've learned to by pass this issue.

Thank you and I hope to figure this out while awaiting a response!

Tailoring Glitch ?

I've tailored a few suits now with no problems. But since this patch I've noticed a problem.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem as well.

I have a pair of olthoi amuli leggings that I've reduced to the girth spot and then added the tailoring kit. When I try to put it on the olthoi celdon girth I get this message:


This look has been reduced.

Any ideas? I know before this last patch I had done tailoring in this way and it's worked just fine.

Edit to say: I bought a leather girth from the holtburg vendor and added the leggings to that girth. It let me do that. Then I bought another tailoring kit and tried it again and it let me tailor it to my girth I originally tried to put it on.
This is def some glitch.

Summon Invisibility

After almost two dozen quest done so far this weekend, the one thing that stands out in my mind is how annoying summons are when fighting in close areas. It's not that I run into them, its that I try and target them. Since they act like players in that you can run through them, what would it take to make them invisible and untargetable by another player (unless you are PK-obviously)?

Buff fellows

I have a question about buff fellows. Not sharing xp, just buffs. Are they frowned upon now? I remember them almost being a requirement before. With the issues of finding a fellow to group in I don't see there being a problem with a buff fellow, especially if the AFK's aren't getting anything from it. So a few questions

1. Is it illegal to have
2. If it's legal, is it frowned on by the community
3. If it's legal and not really upsetting too many people, How would I go about getting an automatic invite setup for one? I want to be able to leave the fellow on overnight so people that can't get a group or whatever can still go and get decent xp hunting or butchering or just hunting for loot.
Maybe someone sends a /t to the leader and lead goes and invites.


Like I said, if this is a real big nono i'll rethink it. If it's outright going to get me banned i'll really sit down and think about it. Just trying to find a way that helps people out.

Xp Reduction due to level

Why is this in place?

Right now (as i know it) you must be within 8 levels of the mob to be able to receive full xp. I don't understand the logic behind this.

If i am a group of 9 people ranging from 68-75, and we are able kill a level 85 group mob, why do we not deserve to receive full xp? If we can kill the mob, then we should be able to receive the maximum amount of xp from it, no matter what the level of those who killed it.

Same thing goes for solo mobs, if I able to get my character to a position that I can kill something 10 or 15 levels higher than me, why should I be punished and not receive full xp?

I think the dev team should look into the removal of these xp nerfs.

* Speak to Nekshla at 22.2S 6.2E at Neftet.
* Enter the Desert Dwelling portal at 21.0S 7.6E.
* The dungeon is filled with statues that turn and cast high-damage void volleys. The drop is not safe, be healed and ready before entering the portal.
* The dungeon is linear, follow the path, being wary of the statue traps. There are also blade waves that run down the hallways, it is recommended that you hug the walls and wait at safe spots. There are Ensorcelled Weapons throughout the dungeon as well.
* When you reach Janthef, talk to him, and he will summon a group of Ensorcelled Weapons. Kill them and loot the key and use it to open the locked door ahead.
* Follow the path once more. When you find Janthef again, he will summon more weapons, as well as a Whirlwind Golem (use cold. watch for wave spells). The golem drops the next key.
* When you reach a split in the dungeon, the left path has vulnerability traps and leads to a chorizite chest, the right path leads to the end of the dungeon.
* At the end is Janthef along with some Whirlwind Golems, kill him and an NPC will spawn, talk to the NPC for Xp, Luminance, and a 2-use Legendary Key.

Random textures(mainly characters) going gray and sound increasing REALLY LOUD

Been having this problem for awhile. Idk if my graphics card is taking a poooop but almost always during the first portal i load my character will go from its bright armor to being completely gray.
The sound issue is annoying due to the fact that it increases by 10x at random...
Has anyone else experienced any of these issues?

How come we dont have chat with the dev's like once a month

Same old story. XYZ games suffers from Class Imbalance, Cash Shop Advantage, Boss Loot, PVP balance, etc.

Simple fixes that if recognized could be fixed in minutes yet they remain for years.


AC2 continues to suffocate from non friendly solo game play. There is simply no excuse for this over sight. There is no justification, and no real reason other than ignorance for the way it is.

Solo game play has a range from fairly easy to brutally difficult cautious game play. Some classes do better than others, but one thing remains constant, true solo game play is trash exp.


There is a pipe dream from many of the developers and publishers that they have plenty of time to get around to issues like these. History has proven over & over that this is just not true. Even with a mighty name like Diablo if you screw up you will lose your customers.


The solo game is almost unplayable for most. There are a few niche crafters and hardcore fans, but look at the dwindled player base.

This should not even be an issue. It was a direct result of the previous game developers making an error in the exp bonus for parties.

Grouping is fine, but there should be a more appropriate balance.

It is inexcusable to allow this to continue.

Fix this permanently and provide everyone with the freedom to play their own style any time they wish.

The developers should be ashamed at creating so much solo content and ruining it with a single variable. That includes many of the quests also.



If you have an MMO experience you should know "buff slaves" are also no answer to this. Nor is reducing the delays on repeat quest which should be done anyway, but for an entirely different reason. They are an alternative method to grinding, not a patch for poor exp.

Implement an exp bonus for non fellowships, reduce the quest reset timers, and increase the lower level quest exp.

Temp Items - Reuse Changes

Items such as Unique Pets, Defractor, Curio, should not have 3-5 hour reset timers.

#1 Reason: To many bugs/crashes ruin these items. There are several bugs which make you unable to target, move, or perform actions. These usually require a restart.

#2 Some of them are nearly critical for solo game play.

#3 The concept of unique timed items is nice, but the practicality makes them fail.

#4 They reward easy game play while punishing difficult game play. If you want to maintain dmg output it's more effective to hunt in places where you completely dominate the area without risk. Taking any risks or challenge usually results in the loss of these items/buffs.
